Beautifully set on a secluded old country estate near Knysna’s famous lagoon on the Garden Route. The 79 rooms and chalets and have been tastefully decorated with a Knysna Forest feel and are set in lush surrounds. The flourishing gardens boast 3 swimming pools and the old Manor House is set amongst timeless oaks and pecan trees. The Knsyna Hollow Restaurant with its warm and relaxed atmosphere offers delicious fare, whilst the Pecan Tree Grill Room with its contemporary design offers an alternative to the a-la carte restaurant.

Knysna Hollow is set on a secluded country estate on the outskirts of the historic town of Knysna. The gracious Manor House forms the focal point of the lodge and is finished with indigenous furniture, yellowwood floors and pressed ceilings.

Knysna Hollow restaurant is situated in the Manor House and serves fine food in relaxed and warm surroundings. Guests can enjoy a drink in the pub beside a roaring fire before enjoying a meal from the seasonal menu accompanied by fine Cape wine.

Accommodation

Accommodation consists of 15 thatched cottages, each with an open-plan lounge and bedroom area, fireplace, television, telephone, tea-making facilities and private patios, as well as 50 garden rooms, all with pool views, tea-making facilities, television and verandahs.

Knysna Hollow is the perfect base from which to explore the nearby town of Knysna and the surrounding areas.

Excursions include a trip across the lagoon on a ferry to the Featherbed Nature Reserve or a scenic journey through the Garden Route on the Outeniqua Tjoe-Choo, a historic steam train. Knysna itself boasts a host of curio shops and markets as well as many restaurants and a marina-style waterfront.

Whether wanting to explore the many attractions in the area or simply laze next to one of three swimming pools around the gardens, Knysna Hollow is an ideal break from the stresses of daily life.

Conferencing is a pleasure at Knysna Hollow - the Yellowwood Room, our state-of-the-art conference centre, is equipped with all modern amenities to ensure a successful meeting, product launch or company conference.

The Knysna area is the perfect environment for team-building activities, which we will arrange on your behalf - catamaran sunset cruise with cocktails through the Kynsna Heads, tree-top canopy adventures, golfing breaks, beach barbeques and oyster tasting. Directions

Travelling from Port Elizabeth / Plettenberg Bay/Tsitsikamma: Follow the N2 until you get to Knysna, drive straight through the town. We are situated 2 kilometers outside the main town. After the last robot continue straight along the N2 which will run alongside the lagoon. After about 1,5 kilometres you will notice that there is an African Craft Market on your left hand side. Just thereafter you must look out for a turning to your right that says: WELBEDACHT LANE. We are situated 300m up Welbedacht lane on the right hand side. Travelling from George / Mossel Bay / Cape Town: Drive along the N2 through George, then Wilderness and Sedgefield. As you come into Knysna you will cross over a bridge, which runs over the lagoon. You will notice a sign that says WELBEDACHT LANE. Turn left into Welbedacht and we are situated 300m up this lane on your right hand side.
